#Exclude Article From TOC

Want to exclude specific articles from featuring a table of contents? It's a breeze. Simply navigate to the desired article from the backend, and under 'More Actions', opt for "Exclude from Easy Table of Content". Voilà, ETOC will no longer craft a TOC for that piece.

Should you change your mind and wish to reintroduce the table of contents for that article, here's how:

  1. Access the article and identify its ID from the URL.
  2. Head over to the ETOC dashboard.
  3. Use Ctrl+F (or Cmd+F on Mac) to quickly locate the article ID.
  4. You'll find this ID listed in the 'Articles Excluded from Table of Content' input field.
  5. Erase the ID (and ensure you remove the trailing comma if multiple IDs are present).
  6. Hit 'Save'.

#Deciding When to Exclude an Article

Our Table of Contents thrives with Shopify's default blogging platform, meticulously crafting content outlines based on headings from H1 to H6. If your article doesn't feature these headings, it's advisable to exclude it from the Table of Contents to maintain a streamlined reader experience.
